Pathways to Success: FIA Teacher Interviews Begin This Week

Preparation for the 2024-25 school-year reaches another big milestone this week as we begin the process of hiring Forward International Academy’s (FIA) teaching staff. Interviews are scheduled through mid-May to eventually fill positions in the core subjects of math, science, and English. Our candidates possess excellent experience and solid credentials, making them well qualified to serve in an instructional capacity. Regular duties will include the following:
Provide timely guidance, feedback, and grades on assignments, projects, and examinations
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and/or partner schools’ local learning coaches
Monitor student progress in FIA’s learning management system (Agilix Buzz) that houses course modules and gradebooks
Maintain up-to-date and accurate academic records in FIA’s school information system (JMC) that generates reports and transcripts
Manage course content, including re-pacing courses based on student proficiency
Hold office hours by appointment
Each teacher will also participate in a summer orientation, where they will receive guidance on working within our online curriculum platforms and will review FIA’s policies and procedures outlined in our school handbook.
We eagerly anticipate achieving this important step in preparing for FIA’s launch in September. Selecting a team of dedicated professionals to support our students academically and developmentally will contribute significantly to FIA’s overall growth and success. As we welcome new team members, look for staff introductions in a future Forward newsletter post and other USUP and FIA communication channels.
Onward. Upward. Forward!
